You have three ways of getting direct transfers from Faro International Airport to Vale Do Lobo.
The first and most obvious way of transferring from the Airport is by jumping into an airport taxi. The taxis can be found just outside the main terminal building and although there can be queues during peak times the wait is usually not too bad. The cost of a taxi from Faro to Vale Do Lobo will be in the region of €25. It is worth remembering that the taxis will generally only take 4 people including any kids.
If there are more than four of you or you prefer to be meet at the Airport and avoid any queuing then it may be worth organizing a private Faro Airport Transfer. We found that if there are 6 people and you book online with Shuttle Direct then the cost of a private transfer is less than the cost of two airport taxi transfers.
If you do take advantage of a private transfer then make sure you book your return journey at the same time and this will give you one less thing to worry about whilst you enjoy your holiday. When you make your booking online you will receive details of where your driver will meet you, what to do if there are any delays and an emergency contact number.
The final Vale Do Lobo transfers option is by organizing and booking your own hire car for collection at the Airport. This has the advantage of not hanging around for taxis and saving money on any transfers. We have run a car check for a week in September for a driver aged 39 wishing to rent a 4 door car and found that the rates come in at around €195. If you do decide to hire a car in Vale Do Lobo then be sure to check out our directions to and from Vale Do Lobo.
