Vale Do Lobo Golf Courses

Vale Do Lobo Golf Golf and Vale Do Lobo go hand in hand with each other. As you walk around this wonderful estate you realize that the courses, Vale Do Lobo Villas, Vale Do Lobo Apartments and all the surroundings blend effortlessly together. Vale Do Lobo actually has two courses the older Ocean Golf Course and Royal Golf Course. The Portuguese Open was held here in 2002 & 2003 using a combination of holes from both courses. 5 from the Ocean Course and 13 from the Royal Course.

Apart from the wonderful year round weather in Vale Do Lobo its proximity to Faro International Airport also make it an ideal place for a short weekend break or longer, full two week holiday. Faro Airport is around 30 minutes away by car and you can fly here from many European Airports. There are a huge number of low cost Airlines all offering regular flights to Faro from the UK.

My advice is to stay on the Vale Do Lobo Estate if you are hear for the golf. All the golfing facilities are within a five minute drive of either course. You can practice at the driving range at Barringtons, choose from a large selection of other sports in Vale Do Lobo or simply head for one of the many restaurants in Vale Do Lobo and relax over a wonderful meal and a drink or two!

As you would imagine playing golf in Vale Do Lobo is not a cheap pastime but it is not as expensive as you might imagine. If you are thinking of buying a property in Vale Do Lobo then it may be worth obtaining a Title or Membership for one or both of the courses.

Depending on your age Titles are available for 7.5 years, 15 years and 25 years and to give you an example of cost; a 15 year Title for the Royal Course is currently priced at €30,000 and €25,000 for the Ocean Course. Annual memberships are also available for both courses with an initial joining fee of €13,250 for the Royal and €11,100 for the Ocean and then yearly membership fees of €1,875 and €1,450 respectively.

All in all Vale Do Lobo Golf holidays and facilities are amongst the very best in the world and taking advantage of this wonderful European Destination and all it has to offer must be on any serious Golfer´s agenda.
